Ice roads to the sea

On the beach this morning:
A mermaid's purse
A stone like a bone
Broken seaweed wings of a sea witch
A trigger fish
Sticks, shaped and smoothed by water
Feathers from the wings of Icarus, decorated with bright frost beads

On the way home a great fox runs across the winter field, rust red with a dark, almost black bush of tail.

  1. I do love this new blog, so much easier to keep up to date with. How I envy your cold weather when here it is in the high 30's. On days like these I dream of home and remember the fresh mornings though I am sure this is done with rose coloured glasses on

  2. The sea was giving such treasures today. No seals?
