Not so much 'Women Who Run With the Wolves'....
........as girl who reads to the wolves. Still trying to decide what she is reading as they curl around her, listening, dreaming, in a nest of feral protection.
could it be a book called Julie of the Wolves? It was my daughter's favourite, growing up in the 70s. A young girl becomes lost somewhere in the far north and is adopted by a pack of wolves who keep her safe. My daughter was fascinated that Julie learned to 'speak' the wolves' language and communicate with them.
beautiful!Where we lived before here was a cottage on a lake with a mountain behind us, long steep drive way we had ,, the wolves ran at night on the bluff behind us,, we could hear their breath, let alone their howls and squeals chasing down the deer, and when they sleep, they sleep just like this, I know becuase we set a night camera up to video them 24 hours,,this reminds me of our video, beautiful
This is really beautiful... reminds me a little of the Guardians painting of yours with the hares. I love the wolf ear hood on the girl - rather like my own sweet girl Elora who can often be seen in a furry fox cape and hood, with ears and a very realistic tail!
I love this painting so much. And the big white wolf at the back almost disappears into the snow. It's so beautifully done - though I'd have worn green!

ReplyDeleteIs this little jewel part of a necklace, or is it just a loose treasure?
