Findings, looking.

Early morning painting, thinking.

1. Make list.
2. Stretch paper.
3. Paint  for at least 6 hours.
4. Walk dogs to a different beach.
Walking the cliffs in Pembrokeshire, the air like cold silk on the skin, sky like the underbelly of a fish and wimbrel, cormorant, oystercatchers fighting the wind, ravens and a seal watching as I sit among thrift, seacampion and squil to write about pandas. Then home to lions and unicorn and bees.
5. Roughs, for Christmas cards, for nursery rhymes.
6. Take children to school, collect same children, take Tom rowing, sit for a while and watch the sea.
7. Don't forget to look for the poetry in every day life.

Drawing hares

While I was distracted drawing hares the cats seem to have sneaked in and posted their picture on my blog, so I am going to sneak over the theirs and put some of my things on while they are curled in sleep. Sshhhh......

Seasonal Behaviour

All over Christmas I worked really hard to finish The ice Bear. Then I worked hard on other projects and now I have had a week of getting the mug designs done for the MBF, so it is time to break free and do something for me. Even though I have deadlines and too much to do. Back to the drawing board, my favorite place to be, and time to do a huge tryptych based on this tiny sketch above.
Drawings of hares have gone to The Imagine Gallery in Long Melford and soon there will be more there. In the meantime, hares for Eostre and the moon.
