Lovely scene of sleeping beauty and fox.
nose to tale!
I admire your talent.
perhaps when i have trouble drifting to sleep I will envision this wonderful image, for it has a wonderfully dreamy feeling!
I have one that comes to mind as I sleep at the moment of a woman dancing with a circle of children. Hoping to use her in the nursery rhyme book, which I must get back to. I am being distrcted by foxes!
Thank you for this beautiful painting ...The Queen of Winter and The Russet Red Fox curled together after their nights of dancing. Just wonderful, a beautiful story.
This is a wonderful series of postings, a beautiful winter story. Thanks so much for sharing it with the world!Maggie
Beautiful, just beautiful...all the more so for the wonderful story you've woven into it!
Hello Jackie,I wish I was the fox in the painting, his tail looks really warm and fluffy, is his tail magical too? Foxes are my favourite animal.Love Elora (age 6)
Have you ever thought of collecting paintings that have "tales" like this one together into a book? A kind of "box of jewels" -- you'd have the illustration (the jewel) on one page, and the other page would be the "story" of the illustration. Like for this one would be the story you told us about the Winter Queen and her lover the fox, their night dancing under the moonlight, her melted ice crown and her gift of a lapwing. Kind of like a collection of original "fairy stories." I think it would be magical.
Absolutely beautiful, and MAGICAL :-)
