Bed time story

A bedtime story. Outside my studio the lapwings are disturbed by hungry foxes. They call across dark fields. Stars are hidden by clouds.

Signed copies of The Ice Bear ( and most other copies of my books) are available from Solva Woollen Mill and orders can be taken online and delivered all over the world.
In the UK you should be able to find them in good independent bookshops as well as online and in some of the chains.

  2. This was lovely to listen to as early dark settles in and the cold strengthens. It smells here of snow and storm.
I can now imgaine each of your posts in your own voice--I like that.

  6. Beautifully filmed, and fantastic to hear the tale at last - I love it, tales of shapeshifters and ancient origins are exactly my kind of mythology! And great to hear it read by you too...

  7. I am a frequent visitor, infrequent commentor. The illustrations are wonderful--so is the story. Did you have a folktale source for it?

  8. The story has links and connections with the transformation tales of the Sami and the Innuit, but its escence was told to me by the ravens that fly over my house.
