On the beach today, two people, arm in arm, look up and watch as three swans fly in synchronised flight, bright white against a pale gray sky, out across slate dark water and curve back towards the land. It is said that swans carry the souls of the dead to heaven. Perhaps they do.

ReplyDeleteIt was a perfect moment when landscape responds to mood and you feel your feet on the earth and just an elemental sense of 'being'. The vision of three swans stole away all other senses so that there was only vision, only watching, only that moment. Beautiful.
