I am having a full body wrap done to my van and want some advice.
Should I wrap in
1. Dragons, from Tell me a Dragon
2. Snowleopards from The Snow Leopard or
3. Bears?

my vote is the snow leopard. I just love those images.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking that I need a van I can sleep in! My Berlingo is getting a bit old and that would be so good for going to pottery festivals.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for the bears-my favourite.
Hi Jackie,
ReplyDeleteI do love your blog. I have been following it for a little while.
I am a children's book reader. I go to that part of the library especially when I have had enough of too many people who haven't excercised their imagination. (big grin)
I am enamoured of dragons, so that might have been my first choice...my friend gave me a card with the image of the dragon taking tea with the girl who has ginger hair. (My own dragons come out of my head and down the needle of my sewing machine...that is when they tell me their stories.)
However, when I clicked the link to the Snow Leopard, I think that book cover image would be about the most wonderful thing in the world to see when you are driving along! It might get the unimaginative people to start imagining!
2 questions though...would other people crash?
would a snowy white leopard get tremendously dirty? or in other words, would you have to take more time from your glorious paintings and books to wash the van?
Whatever you choose will be wonderful and I will hope you drive through Berkshire when I am out and about.

How on earth could you pick!? Whatever you choose will be fantastic. Dragons for a magic van - Snow leopards for a mystical van or Bears for a Noble van....ah such a dilemma!
ReplyDeleteOh, how to decide! Dragon I think - I like the idea of them flying through the countryside with you inside.
ReplyDeleteHow about them all - in a wonderful bestiary of creatures that will enthral anyone who is lucky enough to come across it - with hidden things to find upon closer inspection! What a wonderful way to cheer up fellow travellers!
ReplyDeleteVery difficult to choose, they all are perfect for your van. I love the dragon. But wait, the snow leopard is awesome, and the bear would really look like it was walking along with you, or that you were riding him. Don't know how you are going to choose, except to place them in a hat, close your eyes, and draw one. Good luck! Robin.
ReplyDeleteEating cherries as I read...I'm being side-tracked!
ReplyDeleteThe cats vote for "leopard."
Wow - it will look amazing whatever you choose but I vote for dragons :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Snow Leopard or Bear get my vote!
ReplyDeleteHow could I possible begin to advise you on an artistic choice?
ReplyDeleteI vote for the leopards, but then I'm a cat-lover.
ReplyDeleteSnow leopards, no doubt about it! The two prints of them of yours on my wall tell me nowt else will do ~ I expect for a lot of people you are now and always will be synonymous with snow leopards...
ReplyDeleteSnow leopards!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely SNOW LEOPARDS !!
ReplyDeleteTotally spoiled for choice...sorry that's not very helpful..we have bears and a breeding pair of snow leopards at our Tiny zoo here but Dragons... well they are more elusive
ReplyDeleteBears for me - I've always adored the bears and women paintings, one day I hope to be able to afford one, trust me I'm saving. the colours the emotions just grab me.
ReplyDeleteMy second choice would be Dragons. This probably hits your children's market better then the bears and is a fantastic book. Great Promotional Skin for the Van.
I don't see the problem; there's at least three usable sides to vehicle no? I prefer Dragons; something about the heavy metal of the vehicle that will enclose your jewels! Hopefully it won't bellow smoke but it will certainly fly!
ReplyDeleteDragons along the sides and a snow leopard on the back!
ReplyDeleteWhy not all?
ReplyDeleteMust you choose? I think you should work out a way to have some of all.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful celtic dragons!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you like best, Jackie - you'll be driving it after all.
ReplyDeleteI do love the dragon though!!

i vote for dragons ...
ReplyDeleteGo with your gut Jackie!
ReplyDeleteNot sur ethat would look good on the side of the van? Moving towards dragons but leopards appeal too. I think would have to go for dragons as I want to try and get some publicity out of it for my books and Tell Me a Dragon is on teh shortlist for Norfolk Children's Book Award and the longlist for the Greenaway.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for snow leopards, anytime, anywhere. So what could be better for the van wrap than your very own beautiful snow leopards?
ReplyDeleteMs Soup
I vote for orange moggies...
ReplyDeleteHow to choose, any or all would be wonderful! But just the other day, a friend gave me a little keyring with a baby dragon on it, and this morning we took the girls to see 'Voyage of the Dawntreader' and I just loved the Eustace dragon...so for me, it would be a dragon, spreading wonder and magic throughout the countryside.
ReplyDeleteI have settled on dragons and am just making a disc for the company. But am thinking that I might put the Guardian bear on the roof. It won't be seen often, but I think I would like just knowing that it is there
ReplyDeleteoh good! I will look for it.
ReplyDeletecross fingers for heading the short and long lists.

yay!
ReplyDeleteI would have voted for snow leopards since anything cats is my favorite, but dragons are excellent (and better for marketing your newest book) and a guardian bear on the roof sounds like a fine idea, too.
ReplyDeleteDraagons -- I can't wait to see your van when you get it done and post a photo. I love the idea of the guardian bear on the roof!
ReplyDeleteCan you put the Snow Leopard on the front, on the hood/bonnet?
ReplyDeleteAm eager to see the dragons, and absolutely love the idea of the Guardian bear.
ReplyDeleteI was going to vote for dragons, so I'm awfully pleased that's your choice! (And bears as second, so glad there's a watchful one on the the roof.) Can't wait to see photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting to hear from them. I know that last week they were working on a sign in the real and old fashioned way. Vic is a sign writer in the real sense of the word. And this week they are wrapping a bus. The van has to go in for a couple of days and I hope to see part of the work happening but realisticly I have my book to finish so probably will miss out and only see it when it is collected. Then I think it might be time for a winter van launch at the beach with a bbq.
