A pause

On the beach today, sand stippled by rain, ravens in couples, a pied oystercatcher-legs bright red, tangled twisted seaweed bracelets, a wing - half burried in sand. Perhaps a maquette from Icarus's workshop?

On the desk today, a new vase, elegant old, hand painted, from the charity shop in St Davids and too much white space.

  1. Wow, that is a find! I wonder where it was made? From what I can make out of the painting, I can see why it caught your eye. I love when you unexpectedly run across something beautiful like that. It's like the world hands you a little surprise gift --

  2. Jackie, the vase appears to be late 19th C Satsuma - it is lovely, do you have a detailed photo of it?
