Learning and watching a master at work.

Learning something new and thinking of cameras and where the time will come from to do such things, and in the meantime I found that it is so interesting to see how someone else works. P J Lynch has also illustrated East of the Sun and West of the Moon. I love the bee Man of Orm and watching him work is too mesmerizing.

  1. Thanks for that! I love watching artists work; maybe I keep hoping something will rub off by osmosis (as if)

  3. Just love it. Must see if I can find the Rebecca Dautremer one too, but PJ Lynch is amazing. Never knew he looked like that. Astonishing watercolour work.

  5. Fantastic! I've only recently discovered PJ Lynch myself through his blog but must have missed the links to these videos, so impressive! It's interesting how everyone seems to have a different way of stretching their paper too...
I must learn to draw Dragons... I've gone and put them in one of my stories so I'm going to have to sooner or later!

  6. I first discovered PJ Lynch's work quite by accident at a bookstore. I was wondering the children's section, and caught The Bee Man of Orm out of the corner of my eye as I passed by. I stepped back, looked through it, and it's been part of my library ever since. Even better that it came with the dvd "Making Fairy Tales." I have been collecting his work ever since.
