Today I learned that there is a piece of old lore that says that if you do not hear the cuckoo call then you will not make it through to the year's end.

ReplyDeleteThat saying is oddly odd -- I am very old and have never heard the cuckoos call but I am still on this side of heaven. I think I will go back to my knitting and the cats and not worry about the cuckoos !!!

ReplyDeleteHeard plenty of cuckoos for the last couple of weeks, didn't know that could be a good omen, so far I felt as if they nagged me telling me that they won't have any baby-sitting issues ;D
