Early morning clouds, sun and wind, and a seal's child, washed up by the storm. Holding on to life, for now. Beautiful. Its cry rips your heart.

oh no - can anyone help it?
ReplyDeleteHoping and praying that it makes it.
ReplyDeleteOh it's heart breaking!
ReplyDeletePoor poor babe, how your heart must wring at that crying.
Wow, you're very strong. It'd be living it up in my bath by now! So sad...

I wanted to bring it home, but it is a wild thing. Was gone later. Maybe just back to the sea to search. Maybe as the tide came in its mother came in too and found it. So many, born so late, fall prey to storms. Beautiful seal child. I hope it is safe. I fear it is lost.
ReplyDeleteA seal's cry sounds a bit like a human child's cry doesn't it? I do hope its mother found it, but that is the harsh way of the wild isn't it, nature can be unforgiving...
ReplyDeleteIt's all uncannily akin to Mariana and the Merchild though...
It's always so hard when you want to help but know you can't. I've just been through a situation like that myself. Just agonizing. Fortunately, it had a happy ending, but in the wild, those are very rare.
ReplyDeleteIsn´t it terrible?
