The barn owl, with her wise, heart-shaped face. I believe you've "gotten" her just right. I love how the gold leaf glows behind the figure and seems to halo it.
Really beautiful. I like the fact you have decided to pitched the owls at the bottom of the picture plane and been brave enough to just let the space above be itself.
When I am in the park at sundown, I often spot our local owls hooting to each other, their bodies silhouetted against the darkening sky and as I look, my eyes travel from the owls to the sky, taking in the vastness of that space. That is the feeling I get from these paintings.
